Changes means life....


Traveller, writer and photographer, I think of myself as a citizen of the world: I let my emotions speak in my poetry, writings and also with my images.

My ultimate way of showing images has changed a bit, adding iPhoneography as a new style to my own work.

Iphoneography is quite a development for me, I started working strictly in SLR but decided to change my way of taking photos and the iPhone as a camera gives me lots of opportunity to be extremely creative, its simplicity brings out the genius in me.

I want to be in step with the times, I really do love technology, I just adore capturing a moment in time with an image, e.g. seizing on a smile, a special view, the dawn or the dusk, a bird in flight. The iPhone allows me to capture these moments 'cause its always in my pocket'.

Despite my initial reluctance I now find Iphoneography so fascinating and inspiring. It has a great wide angle, almost perfect lens and it is also so easy to handle. I took every shot with my iphone when I recently visited the USA and every caputure looks absolutely amazing. I especially love capturing candid shots of children, also taking photos of still life, any kind of object.

Also I like to tell a story with the images taken on my iPhone. My iPhone is my best friend I really enjoy using it.

I've recently worked at a new concept "ALTERATED STATES OF COUNSCIOUSNESS" and the main image you can see in this blog, shows my new statement.

APPUNTI DI VIAGGIO: ZANZIBAR UN MESE DOPO

Ribattezzare un luogo da sempre contrassegnato da un particolare appellativo che ne sintetizza i tratti distintivi caratterizzandolo nella sua specificità, può sembrare un gesto sconsiderato. Ma se, come dicevano i Romani “Semel in anno licet insanire”, questo è il momento giusto per commettere una follia, per cui vale la pena provare.
Zanzibar, da sempre considerata a ragione l’isola delle spezie, emerge morbida e sensuale dal colore smeraldino del suo mare.
Rimane difficile poter dipingere in poche pennellate l’incanto dei suoi paesaggi,l’ebbrezza dei suoi profumi, il verde e la rigogliosità della sua vegetazione, il bianco delle sue spiagge che il sole equatoriale trasforma in chiarore abbacinante, regalando al visitatore una percezione quasi surreale di un luogo già di per sé ricco di magia.
Eppure, se è possibile dirlo, non è solo questa l’essenza che identifica questo posto splendido perché ciò che davvero costituisce il “cuore” di un tale Paradiso, sono i suoi abitanti. Sono proprio loro che rendono unica questa terra incantevole.
E’ davvero il sorriso dei nativi, così accattivante ed accogliente, un sorriso che illumina l’ebano della loro pelle che, insieme ai loro sguardi, affascina il visitatore, trasportandolo un una dimensione a-temporale facendolo sentire subito parte integrante di un ambiente già di per sé al di là dello spazio reale, dove tutto è suggestivo ed seducente…
Tuttavia, ciò che rimane nel cuore di chi approda a Zanzibar e che pertanto costituisce un’esperienza unica ed indelebile, è il meraviglioso sorriso dei bambini, il loro sguardo penetrante e dolce al contempo,con una potenzialità comunicativa che parla una sola lingua:quella dell’innocenza e della serenità che nonostante la povertà e le cattive condizioni di vita, aleggia sui loro visi straordinari ed incantevoli, in una parola, indimenticabili.
Zanzibar….l’isola dei sorrisi….
Perché, dunque, non ribattezzarla così?
Si:vale proprio la pena di sfatare un mito e costruirne un altro…
Perché se “Una volta all’anno è lecito perdere la ragione”, questo è il momento giusto, per commettere un gesto di “sana” follia…
…E magari ritornare lì ancora una volta.
